Blåvand — where Denmark ends and the sky begins

Far out west, where Jutland meets the North Sea, lies Blåvand. This is Denmark’s westernmost point, Blåvandshuk, with the white lighthouse that has guided ships for more than a hundred years. The sand is fine, the dunes go on and on, and the wind almost always comes in from the sea.

For many Danes, Blåvand means summer holidays in a cottage by the sea: the morning walk along the water’s edge before the beach wakes up. Kites dancing above the dunes. Long afternoons when you forget to check the time, and evenings when the sun sets into the sea. It isn’t dramatic nature — it’s the kind of place that does you good because there’s room to breathe.

That’s why the insulated bottle, our largest, carries the name Blåvand Edition. It’s made for days out there: 750 ml so it lasts the whole trip, a handle so it’s easy to carry, and double-wall steel that keeps water cold even when the sun is high above the dunes. The blue takes its colour from the sea on a clear day — the green from the pine plantations behind the beach.
